PAM
When Pam decided what she wanted to be when she "grew up," she knew that bringing kids and great books together would be her heart's content. In 2003, with the opportunity to purchase ACP, her wish came true. Pam loves to promote literacy, engage with people about the shared wonder of books, and takes great satisfaction from helping parents and teachers "raise readers." When Pam's not busy at the store, she meets with her knitting circle. . . she's proud to say that her seven-year scarf will definitely be finished. . .soon.
KIRA
Kira is our resident book whiz. When you’re looking for those special and magical titles, she’ll gleefully share her latest favorites with you. Kira is one of our children’s book buyers and assists teachers and librarians in placing school orders. Kira thinks the only thing that is as much fun as reading children’s books is running in the rain on a forest trail in Portland. . .the best place in the world!
GINA
Gina takes care of our accounting. In addition to being our “beancounter” she stocks the books for our “Mom & Dad” section. Gina is an avid bibliophile and especially loves personal and food memoir. Gina thinks author David Sedaris would be great for story hour.
ROBERT
When not busy helping folks find book gems, Robert enjoys singing with the Portland Opera Chorus and at other venues around town. While always on the lookout for the newest great picture book, he also loves reminding others of his kindergarten teacher grandmother's favorites from days gone by. Robert thinks coffee should be the fifth food group.
CARLY
Not only is Carly one of our favorite booksellers, she just recieved her Master's degree in Publishing at Portland State University. While she most enjoys reading young adult novels, she's also a sucker for a good picture book. When not at the store, Carly can be found reading out loud to her cat, Margot.
