The Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) is a statewide voluntary reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries in conjunction with a Library Services and Technology Act grant. Students in 3rd-12th grade, regardless of ability, are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and viewpoints.
There is no wrong way to OBOB. Kids can read to themselves. Kids can read to each other. Kids can read with their ears (audio books). Grown-ups can read to or with their kids. OBOB is designed to welcome everyone.
We stock all of the OBOB books for all three divisions, and we are happy to help you get started or continue on your OBOB journey.

If you'd like to order specific titles on the 3rd-5th and 6th-8th grade lists for 2026/2027, you can do that by clicking the links below. For 9th-12th grade titles, call or email us, and we will call you when your order is ready. If your school is partnering to profit share, please be sure to leave a note at checkout with the name of your child and their school, so we can send money back to their library!
